The El Nido Clio is the real star of the ambitious Jumilla project of three ambitious wine personalities: From the ancient Monastrell vines to create wines that can compete with the very large wines of the world and at the same time preserve the very authentic character of the southern Spanish Mediterranean region. This is more than successful! Matured for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, the blend of around 70% Monastrell and Cabernet Sauvignon will delight those who want to discover unbridled power and richness in a wine.
Dark cherry red, beguiling bouquet of ripe red and black fruit, cassis, blueberry, and blackberry jam, with hints of freshly roasted coffee beans and licorice, adding finesse and elegance. On the palate, the El Nido Clio is an incredibly tasty and demanding red wine. Opulent ripe fruit aromas combine with the superior muscle power, the sweet tannins and the subtle hints of undergrowth, truffle and dark chocolate. Long, almost one-minute finale with great freshness.
